So I've been working on my novel for ages. Well, actually, if I were actually working on it, then it might be finished; instead I think about it and do artwork and maps and glossaries and timelines and histories and pretty much everything BUT writing the novel. And now that I'm well into my forties with a few short stories published in non-paying magazines, it's fairly clear that I won't be the next J.K. Rowling... but I do want to finish at least one novel, whether I get paid a dime for it or not. So, in the spirit of authors such as Chuck Wendig and Holly Lisle, who have effectively used the web to engage with other authors and author wannabes, and offer advice and encouragement and a chance to buy their products, I'm starting up my blog. It'll include updates on the progress of my novels-- the first one being Of Peasants And Kings, hence the title-- and any useful or interesting content I can provide.
